1987年，Pet Shop Boys 推出 Actually 大碟。

同年，家姐不知從那裡借來 Actually 的錄音帶來。我將之放在錄音機裡播放，似懂非懂地聽。

不久，我從不知何處讀到，Actually 令 PSB 紅透歐洲半邊天。這團火也燒到我城來，因為我也將 PSB 封為我的外語曲啟蒙樂隊。

到今天，PSB 大抵已成為過時的潮語。我也只能說 PSB 是我第一代英倫偶像。其實，我現在連偶像也沒有了。

只是，隨著時間流逝，Being Boring 一曲，好像越聽越有味道，那像是似曾相識的故事。每當 i-tunes 隨機播放選中此曲時，我皆忍不住放下手上（沉悶的？）工作，一聽再聽，就像現在一樣。

在商業層面上，Being Boring 不算成功。但我相信，它細膩的歌詞，打動了不少人，就如它打動我一樣。正正是因為，它訴說著似曾相識的故事。

說實在，如今最令我觸動的歌曲，不少都是八十至九十年代初。畢竟，那年頭是我這年紀的人成長的年代吧。

不知為何想多加一句：所以難怪（或許只是一廂情願地猜想），八九年的風波，往往對我這年紀的人影響至深。
